This summer Wings Food Fest is back, and we have a superb line-up of wingtastic activities for you to enjoy. It will be ‘Fun Fun Fun…’ as The Bootleg Beach Boys open the festival with a selection of classic hits and cult favourites from California’s most famous band on Friday, July 19th (on stage from 9 pm) with wings available from 6 pm, it will be an egg-cellent start to the weekend; then daily from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, 21st. This weekend food festival is dedicated to the loved and mighty chicken wing and includes over 15 top-notch wing pop up’s who will be serving up some of the mightiest, hottest, finger-lickin’ chicken wings going.
Our famous wing eating competitions are back – ‘how many wings can you eat against the clock’ and ‘how hot can you go’ with our hot wing eating competition. Both competitions are now fully booked but you can join our waitlist here. If you are not up to stuffing your face of hot wings try winning some free wings over at our Wing a Roo – ‘Spin a Wing’ on the bandstand or try out our Bingo Wing Tent! New for 2019… Chick a Tee – Hook a chick for a chance to win a #WingsFoodFest T-Shirt, try your luck at our Cornhole Championships, take part in our first human chicken Olympics or take to our main stage with your invisible instrument in our Air Guitar Championships. Listen out for our PA call outs over the weekend to take part.
Your #WingOff 2019 finalists are Mullingar House, Avenue Maynooth, Volcano Wings Limerick, Brickyard, Ruby’s Grill, Vish Shop, The Martello & Box Burger. The ultimate chicken wing showdown will see these top wing venues battling it out to become #WingOff Champion for 2019. The finals take place on Sunday, July 21st. Read full terms here.
We’re serving much more than wings…. you can enjoy the Seafront Funfair, BBQ pitmasters demos, street food and craft markets, live music and DJs spinning top rock anthems and some classic 80s tunes.
Wing Food Fest has got something for all ages so bring the whole family. All we need now is for a heatwave in July!
